About the Role
As Chalkboard’s Corporate IT Engineer, you’ll be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of our employees — seamless onboarding/offboarding, secure device management, easy rollouts of new business tools, and a trusted friend to employees when something isn’t working. You’ll collaborate closely with Engineering, Operations, and Compliance to make sure each employee has the right access, our business tools are secure and functional, and we sleep well at night knowing our assets and data are safe.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep employees unblocked - provide first class support when things go wrong and get employees back on track quickly
- Manage user lifecycle across all internal systems — including Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, Linear, GitHub, Databricks, and internal admin panels.
- Maintain Okta integrations and SSO configurations; ensure proper group-based access controls and MFA enforcement.
- Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring timely setup/removal of accounts and access.
- Maintain a secure MDM strategy where devices are safe and can be easily onboarded and offboarded
- Support internal tools and dashboards used by Customer Support, Operations, and Compliance teams.
- Manage permissions and environment access for internal admin panels and staging/production tools.
- Implement best practices for access control, least privilege, and data protection.
- Monitor system health, handle IT support tickets, and maintain clear documentation.
- Collaborate with Engineering to automate account provisioning and improve workflows.
- Participate in internal security audits and SOC2 readiness tasks.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in IT support, system administration, or similar role.
- Advanced knowledge of OKTA, Google Workspace administration, Slack Enterprise, GitHub Teams, and Atlassian/Linear tools.
- Experience managing SSO, MFA, and access permissions.
